Kidz on Wheelz provides door-to-door transportation service to each family according to their needs. We have concerned ourselves with helping parents safely and securely get their children to and from anywhere. This we strive to do with the purpose of giving parents a peace of mind and to let them know they are not in this alone. It takes a village to raise a child, and we are here to help. Your child will be cared for and tended to as our own!
Our mission is to provide safe and reliable transportation for children at an affordable rate to parents in the community. We strive to simplify the lives of parents by providing a viable alternative to handling everything alone.
About the Owner
Hello! I am Shenicia Barnes, and I am the owner and founder of Kidz on Wheelz LLC. I am originally from Mississippi but have been living in Mansfield, TX for almost 15 years. I am a wife to my wonderful husband and a mother of four wonderful children and wanting more! I am a child development major with over 10 years of childcare experience. When I became a mother of two, I wanted to remain at home with my children while earning a supplement income doing something with children. I started an in-home childcare and a transportation service to help out local moms with transporting their children to and from school. From there, the requests increased and word traveled; before I knew it, I was shutting down my in-home childcare and was serving multiple families in the area.
It can be a struggle for parents to keep up with their child's busy schedule on top of their own work schedules. Growing up in a single parent home, I know it can be hard for children to participate in extracurricular activities, particularly older siblings like I was; the dilemma of 'who is going to be able to pick up or drop off who' is one that parents sometimes cannot solve. This is from which Kidz on Wheelz was born, with the hope to provide working parents an extra hand.
